It’s been 4 years since we planted in Viladecans with the first GreenVita Restaurant in 2016, and here we continue! Although the passing of the years has made us learn and evolve, there is one thing that is clear, our concept and philosophy remains the same as the first day.

And it is what cannot be fought against the essence, and ours has always been linked to healthy and balanced food, transparency, flexibility, ingenuity and honesty. We believed and we believe that this series of adjectives could change lives, and we have succeeded in creating good habits in millions of people regarding food and leading an active and healthy life.

How have we achieved it? Offering proposals made with products that always meet our quality, ecological and natural requirements. Our menu hides as good tasting recipes as they are for our body, healthy, nutritious and for everyone’s enjoyment, always thinking of the various food sensitivities that converge today in our society.

We are a plural restaurant chain, which enhances the Plant-Based Diet, which we have already talked about in past Newsletters. Because we believe in the future and sustainability and support any measure that favors the care of the environment, such as the consumption of seasonal or proximity products and the already named organic products. We also include meat options, yes, 100% organic!

Thanks to all this, we have been able to reach more people every day and become a great family that values ​​the care of both the environment and theirs and their own. This is GreenVita! And as we want to continue adding with you, we will soon open a new store in Barcelona … Do you know where? On October 25 in Sarrià, we are waiting for you all with the greatest enthusiasm and the best proposals!

MadeInfluencer was an astonishing success, with a complete ‘sold out’, fact that ensures the next edition that is going to take place in Barcelona on October the 25th. The success was also possible to Renfe-SNCF en Cooperación, DietBox and GreenVita (all gold partners of the event).

Superfoods, what are they? and why we should include them in our diet.

In recent times there is much talk about the superfoods and the excellence for our health that are derived from their consumption. But what are superfoods and what benefits do they bring us? We explain it here in Greenvita.

According to the prestigious Mayo Clinic superfoods are those foods that meet at least three requirements: be an excellent source of fiber, vitamins, minerals; with high content in phytonutrients and antioxidant compounds and of low caloric density.

Eating habits and new recipes of some processed foods present in the Western diet have resulted in the failure to consume minerals, vitamins and nutrients, which are fundamental in our diet to improve our health. We have gone from the real aim of eating which is to nourish our body, to quench our appetite.

Mostly when talking about superfoods it is raw foods that are more nutrient dense than processed and cooked foods. Abundant in enzymes, they are also filled with vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients and phytochemicals, which help protect us from disease. Rich in antioxidants have great therapeutic potential and anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties.

The concept of food as medicine has been known since the time of Hippocrates “Let food be your medicine and medicine be your food.” All in all, the value of eating well, the importance of diet and the potential of certain foods for health and well-being are recognized.

We must include the superfoods in our diet to get back to a diet that takes care of our body in a natural way.

Currently among the most popular superfoods are: chia seeds, quinoa, kale, alfalfa sprouts, turmeric, spirulina kelp, green tea, blueberries etc. But we must not forget that the habitul consumers of the Mediterranean diet have our own super-foods nearby, namely: olive oil, broccoli, legumes, oranges, walnuts, sardines, garlic, tomato and the Iberian ham among others.
